(More customer reviews)My cats, going back several years, and any cats I'm familiar with, all love the "Mysterious Purr Pad" Mysterious Purr Padd - Charcoal. It comes in white or grey, and I buy grey since it doesn't show dirt as quickly (can't wash them). There is something...er...mysterious...about WHY the cats really do prefer this rather rough, harsh feeling material (closest comparison is an old brillo sponge, or dry wall insulation...)to the nice soft plush cat beds and pads made for them. But they really do. I've run into only one cat owner who said her cat wouldn't touch the one she bought for her.
However, I'm a bit disappointed in the "Kuddle Kup"...Its just SO SMALL...my cats just aren't huge either. My boy cat is an adolescent, still growing, and long and skinny. The girl cat is grown, just over a year, and we're having to watch her weight (difficult with the growing teenage boy cat in the house!) They will each sort of force themselves into the Kuddle Kup, but only for brief periods of time. Once, wish I'd had my camera out, they both managed to get in together...

This is the section I'm updating...we've noticed, over time, with both cats (who are now both bigger) managing to squeeze into ONE Kuddle Kup (though we have several scattered around the house, as well as the flat pads) the Kuddle Kup has stretched out to accomidate them both. Its a tight squeeze, but if you're familiar with cats you know they LOVE to be in tight places, the darker and more hidden and more cramped the better!
One cat alone can curl up in the Kuddle Kup and be down so low he or she cannot be seen from the sides, only if you look down into it...which I'm sure they like. With two in the Kup, more crowded, you can tell there are cats or a cat there. So, it does gradually, over time and with use, expand or stretch...I do still wish the company made more than one size though!

I have by the way, Mysterious Purr Pads almost everywhere. I have them cut in half and in such various places as the cat carriers, the little condo cubicles on their cat condo, one full size one on each of two beds in the house where they spend a lot of time...almost everywhere they like to lie down and rest. And they use them, in preference to other softer, "prettier" materials....please, Mysterious Pad/ Kuddle Kup people, give a choice of sizes for this item!
