(More customer reviews)16 inches is really not that big. My small female sleeps in it from time to time but she looks scrunched and I believe she prefers the couch. I have a tom cat and there's no way he could fit into this bed. If this is a standard size I will have to get him a dog bed. Also the picture makes it look like the sides are kind of tall and sturdy. They aren't, and when the cat lays in it the sides flatten out. I think overall I was disappointed in it but as long as the cat likes it, that's all that really matters. I'm not the one sleeping in it. The cover is soft and it's nice that it's washable.

(More customer reviews)I have a small, older cat who is always cold. I had been running an electric heater for her, but looked into buying a heated bed. This bed was economical and very similar to her old bed, so I gave it a try.
The bed doesn't really heat up until the cat is laying in it. However, you can place a throw pillow or something in the bed first to heat it up if you need to entice the cat to use it.
The bed does heat up nicely when the cat is in it. My cat loves it. I also appreciate the washable cover. A good purchase.

(More customer reviews)My pets love this bed. I got the large size for my 30lb terrier mix and she got in it right away and refused to leave. It is big enough to let her stretch out with plenty of room. Every time I look over I see a different pet in the bed (ranging from an 80lb Pit bull to a 7lb Siamese). I would say it is a little on the small side for the Pit but he likes to curl up into a ball when he sleeps and he looks pretty comfortable. The sides are very cushy and a nice height for them to be able to rest their heads which gives them more room too. The fabirc is really soft and it heats up quickly. I think the bottom would be a little thin for a large dog if it was put directly on a hardwood floor but I have it up on the couch so that is not a problem (I haven't looked inside yet but it feels like a thin layer of foam on the bottom, the heating pad, and an egg crate on top.) I think it would be fine on the floor with a blanket underneath. I can't testify to durability since we just got it but based on how comfortable my pets look I would definitely recommend it.

Material feels a little cold, nothing a small dog blanket won't fix :)the pillow is removable for easy washing and you could probably add some extra padding underneath it if you wanted to (it doesn't need it) Shipping was very fast and efficient. The item picture looks like a burnt orange but it is definitely a bright red color (which is great because this is what we wanted!) Have yet to try it out on the puppy, but I'm sure he will love it!

Mysterious Kuddle Kup Cat Bed, White Review

(More customer reviews)My cats, going back several years, and any cats I'm familiar with, all love the "Mysterious Purr Pad" Mysterious Purr Padd - Charcoal. It comes in white or grey, and I buy grey since it doesn't show dirt as quickly (can't wash them). There is something...er...mysterious...about WHY the cats really do prefer this rather rough, harsh feeling material (closest comparison is an old brillo sponge, or dry wall insulation...)to the nice soft plush cat beds and pads made for them. But they really do. I've run into only one cat owner who said her cat wouldn't touch the one she bought for her.
However, I'm a bit disappointed in the "Kuddle Kup"...Its just SO SMALL...my cats just aren't huge either. My boy cat is an adolescent, still growing, and long and skinny. The girl cat is grown, just over a year, and we're having to watch her weight (difficult with the growing teenage boy cat in the house!) They will each sort of force themselves into the Kuddle Kup, but only for brief periods of time. Once, wish I'd had my camera out, they both managed to get in together...

This is the section I'm updating...we've noticed, over time, with both cats (who are now both bigger) managing to squeeze into ONE Kuddle Kup (though we have several scattered around the house, as well as the flat pads) the Kuddle Kup has stretched out to accomidate them both. Its a tight squeeze, but if you're familiar with cats you know they LOVE to be in tight places, the darker and more hidden and more cramped the better!
One cat alone can curl up in the Kuddle Kup and be down so low he or she cannot be seen from the sides, only if you look down into it...which I'm sure they like. With two in the Kup, more crowded, you can tell there are cats or a cat there. So, it does gradually, over time and with use, expand or stretch...I do still wish the company made more than one size though!

I have by the way, Mysterious Purr Pads almost everywhere. I have them cut in half and in such various places as the cat carriers, the little condo cubicles on their cat condo, one full size one on each of two beds in the house where they spend a lot of time...almost everywhere they like to lie down and rest. And they use them, in preference to other softer, "prettier" materials....please, Mysterious Pad/ Kuddle Kup people, give a choice of sizes for this item!

I should have bought a smaller size for my 5-lb poodle who only takes up a corner of it, but she seems quite happy with it, using the raised edge as a pillow. This bed fits perfectly in the knee-hole of my desk under my computer, so she is comfortable at my feet while I work in my office. The colors are as exactly shown. Do not put the fuzzy side up as it will shed fuzz. With the plush side up and the fuzzy side down, fuzz bunnies are no problem. I regularly toss this into the washer and dryer (where oddly enough it doesn't shed) and it comes out looking like new.

(More customer reviews)I got this for my cat as a Christmas gift (I know) and it arrived in perfect condition! It seems to be some sort of foam nicely covered by a light orange velour-type material. She definitely loves it, and I love the antenna "wings" or whatever they are on top. It's probably not big enough for a very large cat- the interior is about 12" square and I wouldn't trust the material to keep it's shape with a big cat leaning around in it all the time.
Definitely a better buy than any bed I've seen at big-box or pet stores. Cat says: Highly rated.

About the bed: It is made of foam with a very soft, low pile plush fabric inside and out. It has a removable pillow for easy cleaning.The bed appears thin but it is made well and nicely finished. The whole thing is machine washable. It is long enough at 22 inches, and roomy enough for my 17 pound Dachshund to stretch out or curl up. He was the first one inside it this morning.
One of my dogs in sleeping in the bed as I am writing this review. I reached inside the bed and the air is toasty warm! The cave like construction keeps the warm air inside, a big plus since we have cold floors and it can get drafty when the furnace kicks on. The only opening is in the front; there are no windows to allow drafts to get in.
They have another size of this bed that is considerably smaller at 14 x 14. If you think you want to get one for your Dachshund or other small dog be certain you order the 22 inch long one.

(More customer reviews)The bed arrived in the time promised, but the diameter is much, much smaller than what it claims to be. Even a kitten would not be comfort able. Between different family members, we have 6 cats and none of them would have anything to do with it, no matter what we tried. I think the picture show somewhat misrepresents the item (at least there should be a side view of the item and how the cat looks laying in the bed. The bed is a little flimsy, the bottom should be more padded and the sides should be able to roll down a little better. The bed looks just like a fabric version of the cat's water bowl. Maybe it would be better if it truly were 17" diameter, made of different fabric and have more padding in the bottom it would be better. The fabric looks and feels like building insulation.

Precision Pet SnooZZy Bumper Pet Bed Review

(More customer reviews)I have purchased Snoozzy pet bumper beds many times in the past 7 years. The ones I had purchased most recently do not hold up well to being washed. On top of that they don't look anything like the photo here and I was told by the manufacturer "We are not responsible for the color of the bed.". The pictured cheetah print is ideal because it hides light colored fur as well as dark. The color of the "cheetah" beds they sent me most recently were actually dark brown with black spots. The fabric did nothing to hide light-colored cat fur so theywere of little use to me. I argued with the company for a refund but after paying shipping both ways, I would have spent over $30. I was not willing to waste $30 when the product cost was only about $50. I decided to use them in high up places where the fur buildup would not be noticed
The beds now are useless to me. The padding has lumped up into small, hard balls. I couldn't figure out why my cats weren't using the new beds after several months of having used them. They preferred the older snoozzy beds for some reason. Finally I did a thorough, tactile inspection and I found several small, hard lumps in each of the newer beds. The cats had "The Princess and the Pea" syndrome. These newer beds have been washed, at most, a 6 or 7 times each but that was enough to cause the padding to knot up into really hard lumps. The Snoozy beds I purchased years ago have been washed dozens of times and they are fine. They seem to have a different padding inside. If you don't foresee needing to wash your pets bed often, then this is a decent bed. Just plan on throwing it out after a handful of washings if there are any lumps- oh and don't expect the color to be what is pictured.

It then came indoors to be used by our other rescue cats. It still warms up quite nicely and looks beautiful after many, many washings. (More customer reviews)We've been turning down the thermostat in the house more during the day, and the 'rulers of the kingdom' (i.e. cats) were displeased.
Before they started an animal riot and demanded better living conditions, we purchased a Thermo-Bed.
We'd used heating pads in the past, but leaving them plugged in and turned on all the time was a safety concern and also made a big dent in the electric bill.
The Thermo-Bed stays at a very low temperature until the animal lays on it, then increases the warmth. In theory this keeps the electric bills from skyrocketing.
I'm sure this works for some situations, but doesn't take into account the extreme laziness and heat-seaking capabilities of our two furry friends.
Darned if they're not laying on the thing 24-7!
The only time they're not on it is when we're feeding them.
In summation, the cats give the Thermo-Bed a resounding 5 star perfect rating. The humans give it 3 stars because our heating bill has increased about $5 a month after installation. The result is a 4 star rating.
If the cats had opposable thumbs, and could have surfed to Amazon.com themselves, they would have given it 5 stars. Cats don't care about electricity bills.
