Farberware 3-Piece Poly Cutting Board Set Review

(More customer reviews)Getting three poly cutting boards for a reduced price was a great value.
The paddle board has a channel on one side of the board for juices. The other two boards do not have a channel. All of the boards contain an antimicrobial agent.
Since these 3 boards are also nonporous and dishwasher-safe they are easy to keep sanitary compared to wood board.
This set has one large board and two smaller boards. The large board is great for big cutting jobs and the other two boards are useful for smaller prep jobs.
I would favorably compare the features of this set to more expensive poly boards. They lack the visual appeal of more expensive poly boards and only the paddle board has a channel for excess juices. Pads would be nice too but then you could only cut on one side.
To date these boards are holding up pretty well. I've had poly boards from outlets that showed knife marks. These boards seem more durable than those poly boards but do show marks when a hard cut is made.
Update: I've had these boards for over six months and I find myself using them constantly. I cook daily and they are wearing well. They don't damage my expensive knives and only show scratches when I make a hard cut. However, if you use the boards constantly they will start to look scratched if you "heavy handed" like me. I'd rather have a mark on my board than a damaged knife. I've changed my rating to five stars as these poly boards have worked out great. I bought the 12"x18" Farberware board too because this set has worked out so well. The 12x18" board is a nice addition if you cook whole birds or other jobs that can use a large board with a wide juice channel. I rarely use my attractive wooden boards these days and find myself using the Farberware boards for almost all my cutting jobs.

(More customer reviews)this product is great and I love it, however 1 caution - do not let the back of the mat get wet. Water was spilled and went under the mat so I had to get new ones, however now that I'm aware - this time I covered the back with foil in case it happened again.
The products is great, however the amount of paper that is put in to pack it is rediculous and wasteful - it's about 50 feet of paper if you straightened it out - way too much - it's not needed!

It's not worth returning but still not what I thought I ordered. Yes, I received 4 mats instead of the two I thought I was ordering so stop complaining already! I have to admit that they arrived in a timely fashion. When I first read their estimated receipt date could be three week out after I placed my order I was somewhat disappointed. The order arrived within a week which was a pleasant surprise. Good luck with your order!

So, I'm writing this review for those who are interested in the dimensions of each of these boards, that are available. They were not given in the product descriptions, so I took a chance and ordered the set. The round board is 12 inches in diameter. The square board is 11" x 11". And the rectangular board is 9 1/2" x 15". The boards have a textured surface, and have 4 round 1/2 inch convex circles on the underside of the board, to raise the board slightly off of the counter top. I have a Progressive International Silicone red 12 Inch Diameter Microwave Mat, that I keep on my counter top, that will prevent any of these boards from slipping around.

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these primarily to put under my plastic cutting mats to keep them from sliding all over the counter. I also wanted something that lasted longer than that foamy stuff that comes in a roll.
So far I'm batting .500. I've had this for a bit over a year it is in perfect shape. It is, however, only reasonably grippy on the bottom but almost none on the top. Therefore the mat slides all over it.
While it may be useful for something like lining a tool chest drawer, it didn't work well enough for what I bought it for and I wouldn't purchase it again.

They hold up well in the dishwasher and I don't believe they will warp like the old (cheap) ones did since they are thicker. I'm very pleased with this purchase & highly recommend them.

MIU Flexible Cutting Board, Set of 5 Review

(More customer reviews)I thought these would be much more flexible than they are. We do use them regularly, but they are not nearly so pliable as just picking up and easily curling them to create a funnel for your food. They have a tendancy to snap back, and I wouldn't dare store them rubber-banded up as they would never go flat again. Indeed, our biggest complaint with these is that they just require too much effort to bend one way or another - be it rolled up for moving items to the pan or flat on the counter for chopping.
And don't even think about putting them in the dishwasher, even on the gentle cycle, regardless of what the description says! They get even more brittle in the dishwasher and lose what little flexibility they have.
At the end of the day, I wouldn't buy them again.

I have cut numerous vegetables and meats on them and they have not torn even though you can see cut marks on them. I like the fact that I can cut my items and pick up the mat and bend it for easier addition to the pan or storage bag. I will definitely buy these again!

If they weren't dirty, I needed to cut all the vegetables before I cut any meat, and I'm not always that organized. These solve the problems, don't stain, and hang neatly on a nail inside my pantry. The flexibility is an added plus, as vegetables and meats can be swept into pots/pans of any size with ease.
