These things seem to be hard to find in stores, which is why I got mine here. The advantage of these things is that they really do clean your shoes (because they're rough and absorbent) and they're natural. The problem is that they shed the coco fibers, seemingly forever.

(More customer reviews)This product has been a disappointment to me. Having it for less than a month, I spend a lot to time having to sweep the excess fiber from the ground. Each time one wipes their feet before entering there is loose coir fiber on the ground and the entryway floor. This mat is attractive to look at, but too much work to keep the entry area clean.

It was shipped in an outrageously big box...not rolled up...I couldn't imagine what I had ordered! But its stiff and firm and looks like it will hold up.

My only slight complaint is that the rug does have a couple of ripples so that it doesn't entirely lie flat..but as my husband would say.."no one would notice that but you!"

(More customer reviews)This mat was faded and washed out within a week of purchase. If you have a completely covered porch, perhaps you'll have more luck...now, a month after buying, the design is completely gone, and the mat looks terrible. Sorry - cannot recommend this one.

(More customer reviews)These are a good size for a front door, and they do a pretty good job of cleaning shoes. They don't really absorb much water though, so if your shoes are just wet you might still track in some water.

(More customer reviews)This is a nice looking doormat, and the fibers are very strong and should hold up quite well to the upcoming "mud season" we experience after all our snow melts. If I experience any problems, I'll update this review.
The only thing I wish this doormat had was some more weight to it. I'm using this by my front door, which is on a second floor deck. I'm afraid it may blow off with our winds.
UPDATE, June 18, 2009: It's only been two months, and the rubber on the edges are breaking apart and falling off. Also, the coco fibers have been compacted significantly, although they are still usable for scraping off dirt.
