(More customer reviews)We got this rug for my 2 year old son's room. The colors are wonderfully saturated and very attractive. The graphics are not very sharp, but very good for a looped rug and what I expected. It lays perfectly flat and does not slide on the wood floors which was very important to us for safety. The loops are tightly woven and it is perfect for a play carpet. The dog loves it too (and no problem vacuuming up the pet hair either). The carpet pile is very low so our son can roll his cars all over it. The carpet is a longer, skinnier rectangle than the picture shows, but it is true to the dimensions given in the description. I knew the size and measured the space, but if you just go from the picture you might think you are getting a rug that is more of a square (it's actually more like a carpet runner).

(More customer reviews)I actually bought this in Europe and brought it back and my daughter loves it! Its a play mat and assembles into a rocking chair. It's sturdy enough for me and I don't have to worry about my daughter falling and hurting herself in the wooden rocker. These mats are twice thicker than the regular puzzle mats. My daughter used to rip and peel the thinner puzzle mats but the tessell mats are so thick that she can't even rip it. It does seem educational since it took us approximately 30 minutes trying to figure out the puzzle. I'm a huge fan of the tessellation (I'm a math major) and its proven that any kind of tessellation enhances learning skills.

(More customer reviews)I got these for my daughter because she loves playing tea time with her stuffed animals. Our table and chairs are too rough and big for her, but these are perfect. I know she won't get hurt if she falls and it's easy to clean whenever she leaves a mess after the tea party. Make sure you get the letters and number mats because it makes it so much cuter. After she's done, you can flip the chairs over and store her stuff animal or mats! I wish I had these when I was a child.

(More customer reviews)This playmat is a great size for my home. The removable hearts and stars are very cool, and the pieces are too large for a baby to swallow (which is a relief). The pieces don't seem incredibly durable, but I will give it time and update this review if necessary. My daughter is only five months old, so I don't anticipate her tearing this up anytime soon.

(More customer reviews)After doing my research and looking at the on-line OSHA report to make sure this product was okay for my 10 month old baby, I decided to buy 2 sets totalling over 140 sq ft. We turned our family room into a playroom for the baby and she absolutely loves it. In fact, because of the wide area and the soft foam, she started to walk after about a week or so. If you don't buy this item and decide to buy something else, just make sure it's not made in China. There is a big difference between Chinese and Taiwanese EVA foam! FYI.

(More customer reviews)I got this to protect my son as he learned to crawl. That was wishful thinking that he would actually stay on it, but the mat itself is very high quality. Much better than competitors because it is thicker. The bonus was that when it didn't work out for my son, I moved it to my workout room and use it there. The only thing I miss is that it doesn't come with edges to seal the uneven borders.

(More customer reviews)Padding is sufficient for my busy 9 month old. I am unhappy with the fact that a few of the letters and numbers are the same color back to back. In order to avoid two of the same color being next to each other I have had to set it up in a 4x9 pattern instead of the 6x6 that is shown in the picture. Problem with that is that they did not provide enough border pieces to set it up in any way other than 6x6. So, I have it set up with alternating colors, but I am missing two edge pieces.

(More customer reviews)We have this set up on carpet, so the fact that it's a little thin makes little difference for us. We just didn't want our baby's face in the carpet constantly (I believe there are carcinogens in the stain sealants and we live in an apt. so don't see much point in shampooing or anything). The only thing that's annoying is the letters and numbers pop out of the mat which I don't really like because I know he's going to rip the thing apart as he gets older (he's 9 months now). But, he has taken a couple little tumbles and not cried so the mat combined with the carpet underneath must make a decent amount of padding while providing a stable, firm surface for him to practice being more mobile. All in all it was a good purchase for me but know that it is slightly thing (like it says, 3/8 in thick) and it can be taken apart easily (by you or your baby).
Edit: Now a couple months later we had to take it up. I don't know why, but it attracts ants that we couldn't get rid of. No matter how much vacuuming, wiping down on top and bottom they kept coming back even when we made sure my son didn't have a crumb on him left from lunch. I suspect the problem is the texture. Lots of little grooves for food to get into which makes it really difficult to clean. We'll probably put it back down this winter, but we disassembled it because it was just a harbor for ants and too hard to clean. Upside was we put it in the washing machine successfully.
