(More customer reviews)I bought this to have my infant daughter practice turning over on, instead of the hard floor. It doesn't feel as thick or soft as others may advertise, but for my purpose it serves me, and my daughter, well. When she bumps her head she doesn't seem to mind at all.
The size is hard to tell on the picture, so to give you an idea: my 7 month old takes up almost the length of the 2 squares when they are set up as 4 pieces to make a square. Enough room to turn over, but not much for crawling and other maneuvers.
