(More customer reviews)I started to purchase the 8 x 10 ft. rug with the cream background and gold design but noticed after adding to my cart the picture associated with the "1 item added to cart" page showed a darker background than the one I had just selected. I also noticed the color number for that size was different -- 029, while the smaller sizes I had ordered with supposedly the same color had number 019. I researched this a little more and confirmed 029 has a gold background with cream design, while 019 has a cream background and gold design. Amazon has associated the cream image with the wrong color number. If their order processing site goes by the color number, I'll get the wrong color. I canceled my order. Although this would have been Amazon's fault, I didn't want to go through the hassle (or have someone else go through the hassle) of returning such a large item.
Due to the color-code mix up in Amazon's system, I purchased this from another company. This carpet has met all my expectations, even more beautiful than the screen images. The carpet arrived in a thick plastic sleeve, rolled so that the ends turn down, not up, when you first unroll it, which I think is helpful. It is very thick, thick enough to cover speaker wiring without being able to feel or see the wires when walking on top. The carpet seems to be very well made, however there are a few flaws in the weave. I suppose that is to be expected, and the flaws don't detract much from the overall appearance. I was afraid this outdoor/indoor carpet would feel too rubbery for indoor use, but it doesn't -- it feels woolen, very nice, very suitable for indoors in my opinion.
I have the 2x3 size just inside the back door, the 4x6 size in the front entryway, and the 8x10 size in my family room. PLEASE NOTE: the sizes in the buttons at the top are NOT exact. Refer to the "Product dimensions" for exact size in inches. The sizes in the buttons at the top can be off by as much as 6 inches!
I have several dogs (the reason I was looking specifically for indoor/outdoor carpets to begin with) who have tracked dirt onto the carpet on occasion, particularly the one at the back door, and so far the dirt has been removed entirely by using just a cloth soaked with water, even in the lightest cream-colored area around the edge. This carpet is made in Turkey.
