(More customer reviews)This natural fiber, area rug is beautiful. It looks hand loomed and it has a very tight and dense weave. I especially like the rich colors. I bought the tangerine. It's tonal. The rug is a true tangerine with deep pumpkin orange woven together. Each color is distinctive and alternating in the weave. The rug has a 1/2" solid tangerine border going around the rug. It's rubber backed, but the manufacturer recommends using a pad.
Professional cleaning recommended. This rug, absolutely, does not like water. Even a small amount of water will cause the rug to shrink and buckle slightly. I purchased for the dining room. I've been doing my spring cleaning, trying to freshen things up. The rug makes the room look so warm and inviting. The rugs are made in India. These are beautiful rugs available in beautiful, rich colors. I glad Amazon offers these. You can find a lot of Sisal rugs, but without the borders and in very neutral colors. (More customer reviews)This was a great purchase. It covers a large area. I bought several different bamboo rugs to cover new hard wood floors from dog paws. This way we still have hard wood floors but they withstand the jumping and running from dogs. There are built in anti slip mats under the rug. The rug does sometimes manage to get its end tucked under, but I think that is due to active dog play. The picture is accurate, the color is a nice rich chocolate with a few texture points.
