(More customer reviews)I purchased this heat mat and a Hydrofarm thermostat (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NZZG3S) to maintain the ground temperature for my Ball Python. This combination seems to work great. This heat mat reaches operating temperature pretty quickly and the thermostat keeps it from getting too hot. I've had these two items for almost a month now and my temperature has not varied more than 3F since I installed them.
