(More customer reviews)I've used this with pretty good results. This small plunger is only for sinks, obviously it can't be used for the toilet.
When you plunge down, it forces air/water down the sink drain, the only problem is that it creates a vacuum and when you pull it loose for another push it sucks water back up to the surface. I solved this problem by drilling a 1/4 inch hole on top of the handle. When I plunge down, my thumb covers the hole. At the end of the down stroke I release my thumb from the hole and air rushes in from the 1/4 inch hole so that the plunger doesn't suck any dirty water back up. And then I plunge down again. It works pretty good this way.

Seriously, this little strainer is that good.
No more pierced fingers from metal mesh strainers coming out of the edges. No more trying to scrape mashed goop out of those little fine-mesh holes.
This strainer works great and looks great. When it's time to empty it, just walk it to the trash can and "pop" it inside out. Bingo! It's completely empty. A quick rinse and you're all set. You'll never again have to take a brush to a disgusting fine-mesh metal strainer.

(More customer reviews)We recently got a new stainless steel sink after a kitchen remodel. We noticed immediately that it was easy to scratch the bottom of the sink, so looked for the stainless steel racks that protect the sink.
There are a number of them, and they run in the $80-$90 range, which seems ridiculous if one gets one for each side of the sink.
So, searching for sink mats instead, came across these. They were shipped quickly, and when we opened the box, were pleasantly surprised to find a product that actually looks better than the picture on the website.
We got two pf the transparent ones. They can be trimmed easily, and it is simple to cut holes for the drains. They do the job perfectly of protecting the sink bottoms, can be easily removed and rinsed, and are very good looking. We were very pleasantly surprised, and ordered two more for other sinks. Can't go wrong at that price.
