This rolling pin is fantastic. It is non-stick as advertised, heavy enough to roll out very cold dough, can be washed in the dishwasher or under running water, is low in price compared to other non-stick rolling pins, and is just the best - and so is Amazon.com! Make sure you purchase this from Amazon for the free shipping (along with another item to bring your total to $25.00 to be eligible). I received this item within a couple of days of ordering it and I couldn't be more pleased.

KitchenAid Nonstick Rolling Pin Review

I have only one complaint about this rolling pin: that it wasn't available thirty years ago! The first use of this Kitchenaid Nonstick Rolling Pin proved its vast superiority to the more traditional pins I've used, and subsequent experiments with other pins confirmed it. Its increased heaviness does more of the work for the cook, without being too heavy for delicate doughs. The increased circumference allows it to contact more of the food to be rolled. The nonstick surface resists sticking nicely, and its handles are much easier to hold than either the ball-bearing type or the stationary ones. In short, this pin allows the cook to get on with the job, and to do it better.

Ateco Pastry Cloth and Rolling Pin Cover Review

Ateco Pastry Cloth and Rolling Pin Cover

It's not always convenient to borrow my Great-Grandmother's heavy flannel pastry cloth and rolling pin cover, so I bought this inexpensive set for myself. The cloth is a thick, stiff canvas that holds the flour and releases the dough nicely. The knit rolling-pin cover is long and stretchy enough to easily cover any of my large rolling pins. I used this set to roll out and cut an entire batch of refrigerated sugar cookie dough and even the warmer, re-rolled dough did not stick. The pastry cloth did scoot around on my table cloth more than I'm used to, but overall I was very impressed with this set. I was surprised and thrilled that it worked just as well as my Great-Grandmother's. I bought a second set for my Mom.
