(More customer reviews)I thought I'd give these a shot since they are cheap compared to silicone mats like Silpat, Matfer, etc. For $15 you get enough liner to cover two 18x13" half sheet pans and one loaf pan. This end up being less than half the cost of the silicone mats.
Once I received the item, I realized why it is described as a "liner." It feels like those big black contractor trash bags. The packaging has some whimsical text that does not give me confidence nor information. I can't figure out what this stuff is made of (nor is the information available on their website). I'm at least reassured a bit by the claim that it is safe to 500 degrees F.
It's easy to cut the sheet into the desired shape and size. They also include a template for various shapes.
In the oven, the liner performs as advertised. It's really quite non-stick. Actually, I wish that it had more stickiness. The smoothness of the liner allows it to move readily in the pan, although it's not too much to bother me. What gets me is that since the surface is so non-stick, my croissants moved around quite a bit during baking. They just danced around the pan, touching each other, swinging around the partner. This was very annoying. Luckily my croissants did not merge, but I can see this being a bigger problem with cookies, etc. I've never had this be an issue with my Silpat since it has some texture to keep items from shifting (but still allows clean removal).
I would advise against using this to line large or shallow pans. However, I think they'd be ideal for lining the bottom (and possibly sides)of loaf pans and cake pans.
